Despite the wet weather, our planned Neighbourhood BBQ turned into a fantastic Family Fun Day indoors! We had a great turnout, with families enjoying a bouncy castle, face painting, and BBQ food. Enter the Light Zone
Since 2016, we’ve run a Halloween ‘Light Zone’ outside our house in High Park. It’s a bit of a neighbourhood fixture and lots of people ask me every year “Are you doing hot chocolate again this year? Your house is the best at Halloween!”. This is really fun because we don’t do anything scary at all, but kids and their parents don’t care about that!

From time to time, we like to share lunch together as a church. There are loads of good reasons to do this, like:
Carols by Candlelight is back for 2017
Our Carols by Candlelight service is on the 17th December 2017 at 6pm!
Our Halloween Witness
It’s tricky to know how to handle Halloween as Christians and as the church. We don’t want to participate in a festival that celebrates darkness and evil, but ideally we don’t want to be hidden away in our homes with the lights off - after all, that’s not much of a witness from a people whose life, hope, and strength is in Jesus.
Weekend away 2017
At the beginning of October, around twenty of us from the church went to Thornleigh Christian Centre in Grange-over-Sands for our annual weekend away. We had a really nice time together, sharing meals and getting teaching from Stuart and Katherine, who have been missionaries in many different countries.
